I hadn't planned to go to the company Christmas party this year, but it was hinted that the party is somewhat mandatory and I'm expected to be there. I have made arrangements for someone to stay with my husband that evening; who knows, it might be nice to do something 'festive' for a couple of hours. I'm not much in the holiday spirit, but we get our Christmas bonus and usually a gift of some sort.
Family-wise, I don't know yet. My father may be able to come up, but I don't know if we'll see B's side of the family...

I hope you enjoy the party! I don't ever participate in any after work activities but I bet you'll have a good time once you are there...I volunteered to work xmas day. Most of my coworkers have young kids so I always volunteer. It is also an easy out for me...I won't have to make that quick trip to Houston to see my mom and stepmom in all the traffic...I'll make it over there during the holidays but not on that weekend. I'll plan a nice meal for the 2 of us. Here in South Texas that always includes tamales. Yummy!😋 I did put up a few outdoor lights and a small fake tree...my first fake one ever...

Tamales! Yum! I'm vegetarian, but I had a veggie tamale awhile back that was terrific.
I haven't gotten our fake tree up yet. I'm bad about holiday decorations, but I'm shooting for this weekend maybe. Big maybe.
Last night, my husband hit me with, "When are we doing the family get-together for Christmas?" Joy. Not a big fan of his family right now, so that's going to be fun...

Bean tamales are very good👍....have you been a vegetarian for a long time? I'm not a big meat eater, but I don't think I could do it....I know I need to make some big changes or I'm probably not going to be healthy much longer...
Yes, I bet you are dreading the holidays....me too....I need to make a quick trip to Houston to see my mom and stepmom. Joe is probably well enough to make the trip and will want to go. Bathroom stops will take an hour...he is so slow and probably won't be able to change the depends in a public bathroom...then he will want me to drive him around to see his family and my mom will cry because I will hardly see her and won't be able to stay with her if he goes since all her bedrooms are upstairs...
